Three things that rarely exist in one person.

Eric Kant has spent thirty years inside real crowds under real pressure. As a police officer, as a riot police officer, then as a member of an arrest unit, inside and around the events where things went wrong, at a time when crowd safety was not yet a discipline. He was deployed at Christmas markets, dance events attended by tens of thousands, major concerts, UEFA Euro 2000, La Vuelta. He was responsible for policing and advising on hundreds of events a year, from operational ground level to bronze, silver, and gold command.

No course teaches that. No simulation replicates it.

He then built on that foundation with an MSc in Crowd Safety and Risk Analysis, with distinction, at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has formal training in crowd flow simulation and evacuation modelling, and is a published researcher.

That combination is rare in this field. With it comes the judgment to know what crowds actually need, and the confidence to leave everything else out.
